Argentina has long been a favorite spot, but in addition to Argentina, you will find here outstanding locations in Canada, Mexico and some excellent selections in the US. We have been picking and choosing for over 30 years, and our repeat business continues to tell us we have found the best. Don Terrell
Don Terrell founded Wings back in 1989 to help support his passion for sporting travel. It remained a hobby business for the first few years, but has grown into a nationally recognized sporting travel business.
Don is a graduate of Elon College (now University) in North Carolina, and after four years in the Air Force, including a stint in Vietnam, Don returned to the Carolinas, and joined a regional bank. Operating his business in the evenings for many years, he continued to work in banking until he retired in 2010, becoming the full time proprietor of Wings Inc.
A dedicated outdoors-man and hunting enthusiast, he has also taken a leadership role in several outdoor organizations. He is past South Carolina State Vice Chairman for Ducks Unlimited and is a Life Sponsor. He is also a Life Sponsor of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He is also a sponsor member of Delta Waterfowl and a participant in the Ultimate Waterfowler’s Challenge.
Jordan Adams
Jordan grew up on his family’s tobacco, grain, and chicken farm in the foothills of North Carolina, where his parents and grandparents instilled in him a deep respect for God, community, hard work, and perseverance—values that continue to guide his life and career. Introduced to bird hunting at a young age by his maternal grandfather, a lifelong bird hunter, Jordan developed a lasting passion for the work hard – play hard sporting life. Over the years, he has hunted extensively across North America and made several trips to South America in pursuit of world-class wing shooting opportunities.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Jordan is a licensed Professional Engineer and General Contractor in multiple Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. Throughout his career, he has contributed to and managed some of the region’s most notable infrastructure projects, including the Cooper River Bridge in Charleston, SC, and the Bonner Bridge in the Outer Banks of NC.
Today, Jordan serves as President of SJ Hamill Construction, a Charleston-based firm specializing in marine and heavy civil projects across the Southeast. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including The Moles, while also treasuring his involvement with Delta Waterfowl, the Ruffed Grouse Society, and Ducks Unlimited—organizations that reflect his lifelong passion for conservation and the outdoors.
Jordan resides in Charleston, SC with his beautiful wife and business partner, Heather, and their three children.
Having Fun since 1989
We have now been operating continuously over 30 years. The company was started by Don Terrell, a South Carolina banker, back in 1989, when he took his first international trip to Mexico. While hunting, he made an arrangement with the Mexican outfitter to find hunters for that operation, and found his first group before the season ended. Encouraged by this experience, he put together a group of hunters who traveled to Argentina for an exploratory trip. Although that particular trip was not a success, it provided the contacts in Argentina which encouraged him to try it again the following year. That next trip proved highly successful and the business has continued to grow from that auspicious beginning, to become a leader in American sporting travel. Now that Don has retired from banking, he devotes full time to Wings, Inc. and his other business and civic interests.
During these past many years, we have explored many opportunities for our client base, and have added a few and rejected many that did not meet the standards of service delivery we secure for our client friends.
We have many clients across the US & Canada and around the world, most of them having traveled with us multiple times. We have several clients who travel with us every year, and have been doing so since the early 90s. We will match our repeat business with anyone, and have the references to prove it. We cater to individuals, clubs, corporations, couples, ladies’ groups, and father-son or daughter groups. We customize every trip to satisfy your individual needs, and can arrange interesting schedules for non-hunting companions.
